I started riding as a child on the “beach ponies” in the village where I grew up in west wales. From the moment when I first sat on that little pony on the beach, I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I moved onto a riding school during my teen years.
After completing A levels and then a business studies course my parents eventually allowed me to travel to Gloucester shire where I trained and passed my BHSAI.
I was 19 when I became manager of a busy riding school in Somerset. Five years later I moved into training BHSAI students at the famous public school, Millfield School, in Street, Somerset. During this time I taught RDA and all the Somerset and Avon ponyclubs.
In 1990 I moved to Caernarfon in N wales. I was part of the teaching team which started the equine courses at Coleg Glynllifon then I moved onto start up an equine course at Coleg Menai.
During this time I spent much time being actively involved with all the local pony clubs and riding clubs.
In 2005 I moved to Holyhead and was invited to teach at Gorswen. Since 2005 I have remained at Gorswen and have been allowed to develop the riding school to allow this generation of children to learn how to love ponies and have fun with them.
